Retro Futuristic Kettle
BRIEF
My design took inspiration from retro futurism, in particular the space travel side, therefore my design featured a large viewing port in the rear of the design, similar to a space rocket or martian helmet. Once turned on the inner lights would glow, the handle took heavy inspiration from comic book style ray guns, and the chrome aesthetic from the cars of that period.
Execution
Design a home appliance inspired by an art movement, ensuring the product shows significant nods to the chosen theme.

User specific product design
BRIEF
Create a water bottle specific to a user, and focus the design around their needs and anthropometrics. Created over 100 concepts for a water bottle design for a user performing a viola on stage.
The design could be carried, used and locked using one hand, while also maintaining a sleek design that could set next to the user on stage. Prototyping stage was key for this design as the locking mechanism would activate once the bottle was picked up.
Design featured a wide base so it would not fall if knocked accidentally, and smaller neck for ease of use one handed.
Radio manufacture
Manufacture a steam punk inspired radio using 3D printing, and various forms of finishing on the material to get the aged effect on the body, and chrome on the grills. Electronics created so when the dial is turned the lights change intensity.

BRIEF
The brief was to rethink the Dreamies ‘signature shake’ packaging that is synonymous with their brand, ensuring the design still featured this element. My concept used a pyramid style tear and pour pouches, using small biodegradable pouches which each consisted of 1 serving, as a common error when pouring a regular pouch is portion size. The treats still gave the signature shake when prototyped, however I feel the design could be improved to feature less material.
