Boston Donuts
Concept
Create an unmissable, tempting doughnut brand that will stop them in their tracks and make them want to treat themselves/their kids/partner.

BRIEF
Execution
The branding is intentionally fun and doesn’t take itself serious, and the mascot in the centre can be changed to match the flavour of the donut, providing the brand with a variety of mascot assets to use across socials and in store POS.
Fictitious brand with a simple goal, stand out on shelf, but have fun with it. The original boston donut is known for having a chocolate glaze with a filled inner, so I wanted to get that across in the logo, while making sure it didn’t feel like another generic donut brand. I took inspiration from the Boston sports culture in particular the Red Sox and Celtics for their use of a mascot within the logo with wordmark surrounding it.
The idea is that the logo can be changed per packaging, but the ‘original’ boston donut is the primary mascot used on the brand. However this provids the packaging with a unique aesthetic showing the consumer a cartoon version of the donut they are purchasing.
The brand pack would allow for different elements of the design to be used across different touch points, such as the outer ring and text to surround product photography on wobblers in store, or the smile to be added on social stories, or merch… BD flag pattern socks anyone?
